In the Russo-Ukrainian War, situation has remained difficult for the Ukrainian forces during the last few weeks. While Russian advance remained rather slow, Ukrainians have not been able to stop it and stabilize the front. Limited Russian pushes forward kept happening on several different sections of the long frontline. The most difficult situation, as of 24 July 2024, was developing west and northwest of Donetsk, where Russians achieved a number of tactical wins in quick succession, threatening to develop their offensive toward cities Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.
