On 6 August, Ukrainians launched offensive operations in Kursk Oblast. They advanced in the direction of the town of Sudzha, taking village Gogolevka, and approaching or entering village Goncharovka located directly west of Sudzha. Fighting and Ukrainian advance were also reported to the southwest, around village Oleshnya.
Ukrainians also advanced northwest of the Sudzha area, taking villages Nikolaevo-Dar’ino, Dar’ino, Sverdlikovo, Lebedevka, Nizhnii Klin, Obukhovka, Pokrovskii, Tolstyi Lug, Liubimovka, Zelenyi Shlyakh, and entering villages Leonidovo and Aleksandriya.
