The Houthis attempted attacks against United States navy destroyers Stockdale and Spruance while they were transiting the Bab al-Mandab Strait on 11 November 2024.
The attacks involved “at least eight drones, five anti-ship ballistic missiles and three anti-ship cruise missiles,” but were successfully repelled by the two US warships.
The destroyers belong to the Carrier Strike Group 3, led by the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln.
