On 17 November 2024, the Western media reported that the United States had finally given Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles provided to the Ukrainians by the US for strikes on Russia’s territory.
Apparently, the permission concerns only the Russian counteroffensive in the Kursk region rather than all Russian territory.
This US decision, while useful, comes not only too late but also too limited in its geographic scope, indicating that America keeps up its refusal to adopt Russia’s actual military defeat as an objective.
