Starting from the early hours of 7 February 2025, Israel launched series of airstrikes against Iran’s military and political asset Hezbollah in Lebanon.
A number of strikes in south and northeast Lebanon were conducted by Israel on 9 February.
Israel’s airstrikes are meant to hinder rearmament of Hezbollah after its defeat in the recent military campaign against Israel that ended on 27 November 2024.
