Recent reporting indicates that Israeli armed forces are in control of the city of Rafah or large part of it.
Rafah is located in the south of the Gaza Strip, near the Egyptian border. Previously, Israeli forces took the area between Rafah and Khan Yunis, cutting Rafah off from the Hamas-controlled territory.
Israel’s operations in the Gaza Strip continue to serve its objective of complete elimination of Hamas’s territorial control.
