A report by the New York Times from 26 June 2025 described the United States’ development of a new base in Saudi Arabia.
The base’s name is Logistical Support Area Jenkins. It is located in the area of Yanbu, near Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.
The base was established in 2022, and has been rapidly expanding recently, its purpose to serve as a military logistical hub, in particular in case of a major war with Iran.
