According to reports from 1 July, on 19 June the United States issued a demand to Lebanon for “Hezbollah to relinquish its weapons across the country by November in exchange for a halt to Israeli military operations.”
The US said it would not support the reconstruction of Lebanon without the disarmament of Hezbollah.
The American demand continues series of efforts by the US to prepare elimination of Iran’s geopolitical grey zone in Lebanon where its assets including Hezbollah can operate freely.
