The United States continued to provide military support to the Philippines, having decided to “construct a fast boat facility on the western coast of Palawan” for them.

The base is set to “provide the Armed Forces of the Philippines with an effective launch point for patrols into the South China Sea,” and “is slated to be operational in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, which begins Oct. 1.”

On 11 July, the United States, Japan, and Australia signed a trilateral logistics agreement “meant to enable naval vessels from the three countries to provide logistics support for each other with areas of cooperation including the reloading of missile systems and flexible refuelling.”
