Israel’s and the United States’ air and missile strikes against Iran’s ruling regime on 28 February 2026 succeeded in the elimination of numerous senior leaders of the regime and its armed and security forces. The eliminated targets included the supreme leader of the regime, Khamenei.
The allies’ strikes on the first day also did great damage to the regime’s armed forces, in particular its air defense and missile assets.
Iran responded by launching series of missile attacks against Israel and the American military bases in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.
