The sum of recent behavior of the Venezuelan regime indicates that Venezuela has effectively ceased to be a geopolitical facilitator of China, Russia, and Iran under the sustained pressure from the United States.
The process of Venezuela’s geopolitical realignment will only be finalized when democratic transition occurs in the country, however. Until then, it remains on a shaky ground and depends on the amount of strategic attention the US is able to dedicate to Venezuela at any given time.
