Russo-Ukrainian War interactive map. First created on 27 February 2014, when Russia was in the process of occupying Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula, the map relies on continuous monitoring of multiple sources to show the current frontline and changes in territorial control in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War.

Russian Military Digest. Focusing on significant events and developments within the Russian armed forces since its launch in August 2019, the Digest switched to covering exclusively the frontline developments of the Russo-Ukrainian War when Russia launched the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. You can check out all posts on this website regarding new issues of the Battle of Ukraine digest here.

Russian Geostrategy Map employs the interactive map format to show Russia’s geostrategic activities starting from January 2023. For the map description and context see the map page on the GFSIS-E website. Also check out all new entries on the map posted by Modern Great Game Watch.

Russian Geostrategy Monitor is a monthly publication covering Russia’s current geostrategy. Here you can check out all posts on the new issues of the Monitor.

Modern Great Game Watch covers the global geopolitical struggle and efforts of its various participants with a strict filter that lets through only those efforts that we call Focal and Auxiliary – either directly trying to effect change in territorial control or someone’s geopolitical alignment, or preparing and supporting such a change. Russian Geostrategy Map and Russian Geostrategy Monitor are different in focusing on one particular participant of the global geopolitical struggle – Russia – and applying a wider filter to show not only Russia’s Focal and Auxiliary efforts, but also those that run below this threshold.

The Structure of Modern Russia’s Foreign Strategy is an extensive study of Russia’s post-1991 geostrategy, from its conceptual basis and ultimate aims to the particular details of its practical application. The study is the basis of Russian Geostrategy Map and Russian Geostrategy Monitor.

Russian Military Transformation Tracker has been reporting structural changes in the Russian military since August 2018.
