Iran‘s unofficial military forces in Syria and the Assad regime forces launched attacks on the Syrian Kurd positions in eastern Syria on 6 August 2024. The Kurds reported attacks on villages Dhiban, Latwa, Abu Hamam and Gharanij on the eastern side of river Euphrates. The resulting fighting continued on 7 August, with Syrian Kurds bringing reinforcements to the attacked area.
