The Wall Street Journal reported on 29 May 2026 that new details had emerged of the United Arab Emirates‘ covert strikes on Iran: the UAE had carried out dozens of airstrikes in coordination with the United States and Israel, targeting Qeshm and Abu Musa islands, Bandar Abbas, the Lavan Island oil refinery, and the Asaluyeh petrochemical complex, with strikes having continued through the day after the April ceasefire.
