On 24 July 2026, the Saudi oil tanker NCC MASA sustained minor hull damage in an unclaimed attack in the Red Sea, the third such strike on Saudi tankers in the region within a week.
The same day, the Saudi Arabia struck Houthi positions in Hodeida province hitting facilities including state telecommunications sites in Hodeidah city and on Kamaran Island that the coalition said the Houthis use to threaten Red Sea shipping.
On 25 July, Houthi forces fired ballistic missiles and drones at Saudi Aramco oil facilities in Yanbu and Jazan. Hours later, Saudi-led coalition aircraft struck Houthi missile launch sites and weapons depots in Marib and Al-Jawf provinces. The following day, 26 July, Houthi forces said they had shot down a Saudi-operated surveillance drone.
