The United States has military advisers deployed in Saudi Arabia providing intelligence and targeting support for the Saudi airstrikes against the Houthis, as part of a newly formed joint forces command. One official put the total at roughly 200 personnel, providing what has been described as non-kinetic support.

The support includes a real-time targeting tool and geospatial targeting support for the strikes. The US is sharing intelligence but is not participating in strikes directly.

Reportedly, hundreds of Iran‘s Revolutionary Guard Corps officers are in Yemen, “working alongside the Houthis with goal of ultimately shutting down the Bab-el-Mandeb strait.”
